MMRA Closes Operations
Several people have asked why the MMRA website hasnít
been updated in a while. Our membership had declined to the point that
revenues werenít enough to keep a corporation active, so the business was
closed as of December 2011.
I served as MMRA President for a decade, and have many
happy memories of fun events across the US and Canada. I especially
appreciate my dedicated staff who made it all possible Ė Vic Johnson, Mardy
Dunn, and Neil Dunn as well as others who helped out over the years.
If you raced with MMRA, I appreciate your support and
hope you also have fond memories of your involvement. Iíve left the MMRA
website up and active partly so you can go back and see your finishes over
Iím also hopeful that the local groups running minicup
and Baby Grand racecars will continue to use the MMRA rulebook which will
remain on this website. If everyone stays on the same page, it will keep
the value of the cars up, and still allow people to travel and race wherever
The closure of MMRA does not affect the Baby Grand
manufacturing business in any way. New cars and parts are still available,
and Baby Grands continues to stock and sell minicup wheels, tires, and brake
Good luck to all the racers who came through MMRA. I
hope to see you on TV someday and wish you the best.
