MMRA PRO Road Racing Division - Summit Point Raceway - July 16, 2005

There are four major Gerard sponsored weekends for MMRA's new PRO Road Racing Division in 2005, and one of them took place at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia.  All four competitors in the event were brand new to Baby Grands this year.  Pictured from left to right with their cars are Mike Mahieu, Nick Astarb, Mike Bryant, and Mike Diaz.  Kneeling in front of the cars are MMRA's National Director for Road Racing, Lynn Egen and Justin Holland and Jody Kartch from Gerard. 

Just last October Nick Astarb was talking about getting a car to start the PRO Road Racing Division.  Now, there is a great start and several more road racers are looking for Baby Grands.  Lynn impressed all the drivers by providing T-shirts, food and drinks, medals, unique logo pens, and more awards courtesy of Gerard Roofing Technologies.  Jody Karch from Gerard was excited to see how many people in the roofing business are involved in racing.  Gerard is new to the east coast and she sees how the racing partnership is opening doors for her.

Thanks to the local racers for their participation, and local dealer Roger Austin who provides trackside support, parts, and setup knowledge.  Next year, we may need a wide angle lens to fit all the cars in the photo!
